Washington Middle School Hosts Assembly for Native American Heritage Month

Washington Middle School leadership instructor, Vickie Rousey, organized an assembly to celebrate National Native American Heritage Month. Students and staff welcomed Kendra Farve and Brandon WhiteEagle, both representatives from the Chickasaw Nation Division of Language Preservation.

Students learned how to say the primary colors and count in the Chickasaw language. They also played an interactive game while using the native language.

Washington Public Schools thanks our welcomed guests and is proud of our leadership class for helping us recognize and celebrate Native American Heritage Month.
