WES fifth-grade students meet with a D.A.R.E. officer weekly to discuss the dangers of alcohol, drugs, and peer pressure. D.A.R.E. Is a program that envisions a world in which students everywhere are empowered to respect others and choose to lead lives free from violence, substance use, and other dangerous behaviors. As students get older, peer pressure increases, and the program is established in hopes of detouring the pressures that are rising in our youth in today’s society.
