Second-grade students in Mrs. Johnson’s class took a hands-on approach to learn about landforms and bodies of water. The class studied and discussed the different types of landforms; then, each student was asked to show their understanding by forming their map with homemade salt dough. Next, the students painted the maps according to which forms they chose. Once the paint dried, the students labeled the landforms with paper labels.
