WHS Seniors Recognized for Military Documentary of Hometown Veteran
Two Washington Seniors, Luke Blandamer and Brighton Snow, recently entered a competition sponsored/presented by The Oklahoma Military Hall of Fame (OKMHF) and the Oklahoma Career Tech Centers. Both young men are enrolled in a multimedia and marketing class at Mid-America Career Technology Center. The students were tasked with creating a video telling the story of a veteran in our community, Albert Lee Adams, a long-time resident of Washington. Adams is a neighbor to Luke and currently has two grandchildren enrolled at WHS, Katie, and Mason. The project, a three-week process, started by scripting the questions and planning the shots. Then the students scouted the location and pre-interviewed Mr. Adams. Once that was completed, they filmed the video and ended up with almost an hour of content, then edited it down for the finished product. Out of the over 50 teams, Blandamer and Snow placed 2nd. Congratulations! WPS is proud of your accomplishment!
