My name is Rocky Clarke, and I have been blessed to be the elementary principal at Washington Elementary for 20 years.  Washington is a community and family oriented school that I am proud to be a part of every day.  It is a blessing to be involved in the education of your greatest assets, your children.

As a young boy and a child of a pipeliner, I moved often and attended over 43 different schools. I graduated from Collinsville High School in Collinsville, Ok. In 1967, I continued my education, and played college baseball and basketball at Claremore Junior College and Northeastern University, earning my Bachelor’s degree in 1974. In 1997, I received my Master’s in Education.

My teaching and coaching career started in 1977 at Caney Valley School. My career path has taken me to other schools, including Claremore, Sequoyah, Tulsa Memorial, Bing, Dale, and Velma-Alma. I am grateful to be a part of the Washington Public School System, where I have served for 20 years, as the Elementary Principal and Head Girls Basketball Coach. In 2017, I was inducted into the Coaches Hall of Fame.

In 1987, I married my wonderful wife, Pam. Together we have four children, Shannon, Lacee, Lindsey, and Case. We have nine amazing grandchildren, whom most attend Washington Public Schools. My favorite things in life are the Lord, family, attending church, and coaching basketball.
