My name is Monty Strickland, and I was elected to the Washington School Board in 2016. My wife, Reagan, and I moved to Washington in 2003 and proudly still call the area home. We have two children, Cole and Presley. Cole has the unique distinction of being a part of the first class to complete Pre-K through 12th grade, and he graduated in 2018. He will be entering his Semopr year at Murray State College, Tishomingo in the fall. Presley started at Washington in Pre-K as well and is currently a sophomore..
I am very passionate about Washington Schools and I have been involved in the community in many ways over the years including serving as a Reserve Deputy with the McClain County Sheriff’s Office for the last ten years. Washington is a special place with amazing people, and the school is the hub of the community. I could not be more excited to see how it will continue to improve over the next couple of years. I am blessed to be a part of such a great Board and a school with such outstanding administrators, teachers, support staff and students.
